Your creativity and story deserve translations that are as thoughtful and meaningful as your original work.
As a former creative executive for an Oscar-nominated producer, I understand urgency, storytelling, and industry-specific practices. Together with my handpicked international team, we provide on-point Chinese language support for productions, screenwriters and writers’ rooms throughout all production stages.
Translation of screenplays and beat sheets
Translation of casting sides and dialogue
Proofreading for art department, set decoration, props, and more
Chinese language dialect coaching (Mandarin, Cantonese and Toisanese/Taishanese), including on set, and remotely
With all the time and money poured in, your work and production deserve professional translators who have a great eye for story and finding ways to maintain emotion and drama with human judgment. Our team provides expertise beyond translation, we also:
Spot errors
Flag potential issues (cultural and political)
Provide analysis and solutions to bring the creator’s vision and dialogue to life
Ensure continuity (character’s speech pattern, audio-visual, etc.)
all before the story and vision is filmed!
IT may be tempting TO USE MACHINE TRANSLATION or SOMEONE WHO HAPPENS TO SPEAK THE LANGUAGE, but…
How do you know the nuances are translated and your jokes and thoughtful set-up are captured?
Is the translation authentic and appropriate to be part of the set or props?
Did the personality of your characters come through in another language or do they all sound the same in the other language?
Does it make sense to use machine translation and a non-professional to translate stories that screenwriters and producers spend months, if not years, writing and developing?
With experienced and trusted team members across the globe, we are an around-the-clock team.
With the right support, English-speaking creatives can tell international stories authentically without speaking the language. Chinese-speaking creatives can also pitch and share their screenplays and stories as if there were no language barriers.
